On Being Right

Daniel Hannan, on his new blog alerts us to a bookthat he has recently enjoyed.

I've not read it yet, but it is on my Amazon Wish List if you're feeling generous!

Anyway read his post. This is my comment:
It is true that people who instinctively dislike people who are right wing are noisy about that disapproval, but short, regular, non-controversial conversations can slowly alert people to their latent belief in truth and genuine justice.

It is, in the unguarded moment, the works of socialists that people criticise and it is rewarding to note that, when Conservatives are most enthusiastically criticised, it is because they have committed an act of Socialism.

Let us hope, with that in mind, that socialism does not become Cameron's refuge as it has become Portillo's.
