Learning on the Council
I am amazed, always, when I learn something new that wasn't previously hidden from me.
Last night I attended a Simultaneous Executive Meeting which is a meeting of Adur's Policy and Strategy Committee and Worthing's Cabinet (because each Council uses a different system).
It was fascinating not only to see how a different Council works, but also to speak to members of our Council and Worthing's after the meeting about the very thing we had all just sat through and been involved in.
If this all sounds quite cryptic, sorry, that's not the intention. But many of you will know what I mean: you see something with your own eyes and you hear it as clearly as you could hope to — and even then you manage to learn something about the proceedings from talking to other people about it afterwards. Excellent!
