Torchwood
Excellent camera-work along with a brilliant introductory episode... Russell Davies has created a work of art.
Captain Jack with his charisma is perfectly balanced by the other characters who are interesting enough in themselves. Then to add an excellent, if sexually contrived story-line with sufficient pace along with the lingering scene-setting fly-overs is genius.
This is brave for the BBC – to mess with the Doctor Who franchise – but they've done it well and I look forward to more. The Americans make better TV than us generally, so it's nice to be able to be proud of the BBC's output for once.
